Sam Calisto

PCO CHAIR (2024-2025)

Samantha “Sam” Calisto grew up in Santa Ynez Valley, just up the road from Santa Barbara. She grew up at the beach playing volleyball, currently assists the indoor and beach volleyball teams at Ventura College, and is the Director of Recruiting for Los Angeles Volleyball Academy. She was previously the Executive Director of the California Avocado Festival in Carpinteria, and the National Director of Programs for the nonprofit organization, Starlings Volleyball, USA. Sam received her B.A. In Organizational Communication from the University of Montana, and recently graduated with her M.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Psychology. Sam, her husband, Antonio, and her son, Orion (6), live in Ventura and enjoy beach volleyball, surfing, or just enjoying the beach! They are no stranger to Ojai, as Antonio has taught in the Math and Science department at Villanova Prep for the past 10 years, and they enjoy taking weekly hikes together in the mountains around the valley.
