Support Monica Ros

As a non-profit, independent school, Monica Ros receives no financial support from local or federal taxes – we rely on tuition dollars, endowment income, and fundraising to support our operations. Monica Ros School is committed to making this extraordinary experience available to a wide variety of families, so we keep our tuition as low as we are able and offer tuition reduction when appropriate. Therefore, we rely heavily on the generous support of our current and graduated families to maintain legacy buildings, fund continuing education for our teachers, purchase classroom supplies and more. Thank you to all of you faithful Monica Ros supporters who set the stage for a lifetime of learning and discovery!

Ways to Support

  • What is the Annual Fund?

Tuition covers approximately 70% of our annual costs, meaning we need to raise the additional 30%, from fundraising efforts. The strength of Monica Ros and its programs is a direct result of the collective effort of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends who participate every year in the Annual Fund.

Every gift helps us set the stage for a lifetime of learning and discovery!

    All donations are tax deductible.

  • A strong endowment enables commitments to existing programs and the launch of new ones

Our endowment is essential to providing Monica Ros School with the flexibility to maintain our mission despite vagaries in the economy. Tuition revenues, even with annual increases, covers only a portion of the cost of educating each Monica Ros student. Growing the school’s endowment to a point where its income is useful as a revenue source will allow for maintenance of existing programs and the launch and growth of new ones.

Our goal is to grow our endowment to support the deferred maintenance of the school (routine maintenance is paid for through the operating budget) and our scholarship fund. There’s really no need to explain that old, charming buildings are costly to maintain. Increases our scholarship funds would make a Monica Ros beginning available to more families in our community. With a strong endowment, we can support both these areas of need in the school, as well as offer competitive salaries for our dedicated and talented staff.

How much should I give?

The answer is different for each family and can range from $25 to $25,000.

When it comes to deciding how much to give, reflect for a moment on what a Monica Ros experience has meant to your family. Think about the school as it is today: providing a well-rounded education that teaches to the whole child, a place full of rich traditions, a close community of students, parents and faculty, an inclusive space for all children, a curriculum rich in opportunities for students to imagine, discover and engage creatively with the world around them, a school driven by knowledgeable and compassionate educators.

All of this has been made possible by eight decades of charitable gifts received from the generosity of current and former parents, grandparents, trustees, and friends of our little school.

All donations are tax deductible.
