Sepideah Mohsenian-Rahman
BOARD MEMBER (2023-2026)
Sepideah Mohsenian-Rahman is a cultural and social worker caring for people and the planet. Raised in Ventura County, she supports The Thacher School as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, wilderness educator and counselor. Formerly, she stewarded projects that explored the role of frontline communities in advocating for environmental justice issues at Mural Arts Philadelphia, supported student affairs at UC Santa Barbara as the Program Director of the Multicultural Center, taught elementary aged students in the Middle East, and managed international exchanges for the US Department of State and International NGO's. Locally, she is grateful to serve on the Advisory Council of Seeds of Belonging, an anti-bias anti-racist initiative for early childhood educators and parents. She resides in the foothills of the Los Padres National Forest here in Ojai with her husband and two children, who both enjoy attending Monica Ros. Sepideah received a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University, and dual-degrees in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Religious Studies from American University.
