Maintenance & Facilities Person (Temporary & Part-Time)

Monica Ros School has been providing a magical beginning to Ojai children’s education for more than 80 years. Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs, including construction, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to ensure smooth operation of school facilities.
Assist with setup and breakdown for school events as required.
Provide recommendations for potential facility improvements.
Communicate effectively with school staff and administration about project status and timelines.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with safety guidelines and school policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in general construction, plumbing, and electrical work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Well-organized, efficient, and able to meet deadlines.
Compensation Range
This temporary and part-time position is non-exempt, with an hourly rate between $23-$25 for approximately 15-20 hours per week. The position has the potential to become more long-term / permanent. Candidates must be able to begin work by February 10, 2025.
