Sander van Otterloo

BOARD MEMBER (2024-2027)

Sander and family moved from Massachusetts and joined the Ojai community in 2022, following their daughter (senior at Thacher) and bringing along their younger daughter, who will attend Thacher this year. Sander spent twenty years at Shore Country Day School as a fifth-grade teacher, an English teacher, an athletics coach, and the Director of Secondary School Counseling. Sander recently completed his third term as the Intellectual Life Chair on the board of trustees at the Holderness School in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Before that, he served on the North Shore Massachusetts YMCA board. Sander holds a BA in English from Colorado College and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College.
